I just wrote up my mission statement for being a Catholic school teacher.  It's for a reflection paper for one of my classes.  Here it is. Let me know what you think.

As a Catholic school teacher, I will work towards enabling my students to grow both mentally and spiritually to the best of my ability throughout the years they are under my tutelage.  I promise to remain open and understanding towards their needs and situations while creating a safe and comfortable learning environment.  I will work towards helping them discover their vocation and their peace with the Lord.  My door will remain open when students are in need of a friend and closed while they divulge their problems to me.  I promise to remain in the hallway until the last student leaves for the day, ensuring that no student is left at my doorway seeking advice.  I will live a Christian life and honour the commandments set before me so that my students and colleagues may see God’s work through me. I will love and honour God and His will all the days of my life.
